Balconies and Blue Skies: Photos from Spain + France

Throughout my travels in Spain and France, I was inspired by the incredible architecture, winding streets, picturesque balconies and Mediterranean feel of the cities I visited in Catalonia and beyond. With my trusty Nikon D3300 in tow, I did my best at capturing the beauty of España.

I wish I could offer an amazing piece of photography advice, but, side note: I’m totally not a pro at using a DSLR camera. In fact, most of the time, whenever I took a picture that turned out well, I wondered, “Wait…how did I do that!?” and tried to memorize the exact settings of my camera (to no avail). However, like many things in life, sometimes the best things happen at unexpected times. Take pictures of things that make you happy or inspire you, and don’t freak out too much about the camera settings. Also, when traveling with a group, don’t be afraid to veer away from the crowd to capture something that intrigues you. It is worth getting a little lost or walking a little behind everyone else to get the picture(s) you wanted.

Here’s to wanderlust and Spanish tapas,

Darcy
